Welcome!

Aloha and welcome to the KS sustAINAbility team's blog! We plan to get this school year off to a great start by learning more about living sustainably, growing edible plants, and using science to help us understand how hydroponics and aquaponics work (and how we can MAKE IT BETTER!) We'd like to share our mana'o with you... If you are interested in growing with us, please stop by after school on Thursdays in Konia 211. We'd love to have you!

Tomato plants growing by the windows of the AP Bio classroom

We recycle sports drink bottles and plant tomatoes, Manoa lettuce, and basil.

Recycled centrifuge tubes— they're great for growing seedlings in!
Pua demonstrates how to prepare the centrifuge tubes for planting: by adding holes, water can pass through and roots have more room!
